Culture, Connection & Creativity

while experimenting the fun of decorating sugar skulls- together

HELLO! I AM ANA!

I love color and all things Mexico... where I was born and raised. Until I moved to the Bay Area, when I was 25. In my early years here, I deeply missed the things that tied me to my roots, so I made it a point to keep our traditions alive—especially for my family. One of those traditions was building an altar for Day of the Dead.

My love for this holiday started back in high school during a school wide Día de los Muertos celebration where I fell completely in love—with the richness, the colors, the flavors, the meaning… all of it!

When my kids were born, I started putting up altars at home to remember and celebrate loved ones who had passed—some of whom they never got to meet. It opened up conversations, memories, and connections. I also began making sugar skulls for them to decorate, and that found its' way into birthday parties, classroom celebrations, and eventually, more and more people wanting to decorate their own calaveritas.

So here I am.

I hope that here, you find connection, celebration… and JOY.

THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!
